General Job Overview:

The selected candidate must have 5 years research and development experience in the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics to complex multi-physics multi-phase CFD problems.

Experience Requirements:

Experience in code development and in-depth research involving coupled Eulerian and Lagrangian particles.
Experience in code development and in-depth research involving turbulent combustion and turbomachinary simulations.
Experience in CFD code development based on Immersed Boundary method.
Recent publications in above related topics.
List of Phase I and Phase II proposal awards as PI is strongly encouraged.
Proficient in programming language Python, C/C++, and Fortran.
Experience in structured and unstructured grid generation for aerospace configurations using tools such a Pointwise or GridPro.
Experience with flow visualization software such as Fieldview, Tecplot, or Paraview.
Experience in the management of large number of simulations on remote HPC resources.
Familiarity with industrial CFD tools such as OVERFLOW, FLUENT, CFD++, etc.
Familiarity with NASA’s Chimera Grid Tools package is a plus.
Must be an United States citizen

Education Requirements:

• Masters degree in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering or related fields.
